Whispers
Objective: To visually translate the story of the haiku while following a root 2 compositional structure.
Everything on Earth / Must part, even you and I / Winds, skies, light and dark
-Lily Tatara
Research:
Within the context of the haiku, the composition was meant to communicate natural aspects.
Digital Iterations:
Sketching began on a visible root 2 grid with simple black and white. A few iterations experimented with a diagonal orientation, but horizontal was the most effective in moving the eye through the story. An Earth-toned palette spoke to the theme.
Method
Utilized hyperbole to visualize "everything" and create a busy texture.

•Motion •Gestalt Principals
